Day 23: Opening Day

Finally, MLB’s Opening Day is upon us. The smell of fresh cut grass and boiling hot dogs fill the air as a new season begins. We find hope in this fresh start, when our record is 0-0; a blank canvas to hopefully paint a masterpiece.

Cliches aside, during this Lenten season, Opening Day gives us hope in ourselves- that we have been prepared (if we appreciate it or not), to finally take our swings for the fences and to fulfill what God has asked of us.

On this day of beginnings, may you find your own Opening Day, and when this long season concludes, you can look back on this day as the start of something miraculous.
