Yesterday, I shared with the world the exciting news that Dreams Come True: Discovering God’s Vision for your Life will be published on May 6th by New City Press.
This book has been a dream come true for me. As sure as my vocations as father, husband, and minister, I am also a writer. While I used this talent in a variety of ways (including this blog), I would tell those closest to me that I always felt that I had a “book inside of me.”
Dreams Come True is that book.
Based on years of research and application, inspired by spiritual leaders and a variety of faith traditions, this resource aims to support others in achieving their dreams.
Let’s be clear, these dreams are not meant to be self-serving. They must be in service to others. In a world that is hurting and divided, we need dreamers, perhaps more than ever, to live as their true selves, using their gifts and talents to help those most in need.
Dreams Come True uses the Appreciative Inquiry model to guide the reader through four steps to identify and achieve their dreams. More to come on this in future posts.
While I pray this book is successful, it is more important that this resource is fruitful. Henri Nouwen provides more insight on this call here in this rare video of this great spiritual author and speaker.
I pray that for you, Dreams Come True is fruitful for you- that you will change your world and the world around you. May we together bear fruit, and be as Nouwen said, signs of hope for a world that is hurting and in need of dreamers like you.
